I currently head the overall finance for the Nordics sector within the Europe SMU. Being part of the growing and challenging Nordics region, my role requires me to work on deals, develop innovative financial and pricing models, negotiate contracts with clients, and drive margin improvement across the accounts within the sector.

The Wipro Finance Cohorts Program offers the opportunity to work in two very different profiles during the initial two years, allowing for accelerated work experience and a better understanding of how the Finance team functions. The program is designed to facilitate accelerated learning, providing a broader range of experiences and enhanced technical knowledge to enable new finance professionals to quickly assume managerial responsibilities. As part of the program, there are sessions on topics relevant to any finance team in general, and participants also have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced finance professionals. Additionally, the program offers opportunities to develop soft skills through experiential sessions on communication, team building, negotiations, and more.

My current role as a subsidiary controller involves end to end ownership of 5 entities in Europe region. It includes ensuring timely book closure along with its accuracy and audit & local compliances.

The two important features of Cohorts program that stands out to me are the rotation policy and training sessions. Firstly, rotation of roles helps us in gaining knowledge in various departments in finance within a short span of time. I enjoyed the training sessions as we were guided by eminent experts both within and outside the organization. Solving the real-world problems during case studies helps in improving our thinking abilities and qualities of working as a team member as well as a leader. Being mentored by the best who have a varied experience across various Finance areas helped me to understand their thought processes. Cohorts is the best opportunity a fresher can get in the industry to enhance their professional skills. I feel lucky to be part of the Cohorts program.

My current role as BFM involves revenue recognition, cost management & MIS related activities for multiple accounts in DOP-BFSI HRO P&D. I am also responsible for driving improvement in various financial parameters by collaborating with various internal stakeholders & cross-functional teams such as Operations, WFM, etc.

I currently manage all facets of taxation for UK and Europe, and I am currently located in the UK. With increased challenges and complexities in the international tax domain I am placed to learn and in the same time have the practical experience in tax matters for Wipro.
